13B Short Review

In search of the best Hindi Horror film, I watched this. It is less horror more thriller genre. Horror, just because of the presence of spirit in the plot otherwise, it's a great thriller like Kaun.
It also got released in Tamil on the same date by name Yavarum Nalam.

The concept and theme were uniquely different and creates a fabricated world around us.

A story of two brothers brought a flat from their savings and earning with an additional loan and unfortunately, the flat has some spiritual presence.

Awful incidents start happening from beginning and mostly related to number 13 which is inauspicious for the people who believe. (Their flat number is also 13)

To show the presence of the spirit, the camera starts blinking, Lift is not working for the lead, Manu. His photo got blurred if he clicked inside the flat, can't able to hang the religious pictures on the wall.

Television channel 13, starts automatically when the clock shows the time 13:00 and got jammed and illustrates the exact replica of their family in terms of a new television show called Sab Khairiyat, which continuously narrates the similar incidents happening with them.

The color looks faded throughout the film, in a vintage contrast.

I never understand, by putting the unnecessary song in between some intense sequences in Bollywood. Ruined the mood and theme as well. Maybe it's 2009 film and it is compulsory then to have a song in the film otherwise it can't be get released or certified.

It's an old technique, to shake the camera when the character got scared, so the film is. Don't know anything about fear but the concept and the story were fabulously written and narrated. I mean it's new to me, I don't know if they copied from somewhere or what. If it is original then the writer deserves a big applause.

Hey, there's Deepak Dobriyal in the film ..
