The Family Man Review

The director duo Raj & DK always comes up with some new and different stories having fresh & dynamic characters. We can see in most of the films like Go Goa Gone, Shor in the City, Stree all the movies are slightly different and have many turns in it.

Family Man is all about the man who is a spy works for an agency called TASC which detects the threat before it is going to happens and stop it on their planning stage and save the country but also he's a normal man not like Salman Khan in Tiger Zinda Hai
but a normal person just like us who has his wife, children and he has to hide his identity from them especially from his wife which he told her that he's now doing the paperwork instead of fieldwork.

This series can be more serious but then it'll be no fun to watch it we're here to watch a spy thriller with humor followed by some strict circumstances. He has to control the situation & manage to keep a balance between work and family. His full attention is on his work which he is doing it proudly for his country. But hilariously managing his personal life with his family.

The character Srikant is really interesting. He makes false stories and covers it with his acting skills which nobody can detect that he's lying. There are so many changes in the character's personality which are covered by various expressions by Manoj excellently.
When at home, he's a normal person. When at work, he's an intelligent agent & when at the field, he's a Brave and Risk Taker.
Actually, the character was written with so much ease & humor.

Also, they kept small & light moments between the tension and normalcy situation to maintain the humor between them.

And it's fun to watch, some scenes are filled with a bunch of Jester & some really are intense & drastic ones. It's a mixture of Comic & Thriller.

The whole series is really engaging. I'll recommend you to watch only when you have so much time to watch in a row or binge-watch it.
It's addictive. They end each episode on so much height that you can't take a risk to drop it between.
Privacy Is A Myth Just Like Democracy ..
Thanks for the mob lynching scene. I believe -

DESH M JO GALAT HO RAHA HAI, WO DIKHANA ZARRORI HAI

Just because they were carrying beef, you can't beat/kill them. I mean, how hate is spreading & reaching almost at its peak especially on social media is devastating & disgusting.
Har Koi Talwar Le Kr Nahi Ghoom Raha Hai --- Par Marji Toh Talwar Waalo Ki Hi Chal Rahi Hai Naa ..
I love how they use the traditional folk song of Kashmir i.e. " HUKUS BUKUS "  When Sri reaches Srinagar. They also capture the same bridge which we've seen earlier in Haider.

SUCH A WASTAGE OF GUILT .. ðŸ˜‚

One thing that I can't digest is Moosa's escapes from the hospital.
They didn't even surround the hospital to block the exit. I just can't consume his escape but the action scene at the hospital was Bizzare.

#JustAsking :
  • At 2nd episode, when they try to capture the sleepers why didn't they just call three of them in Manager's office & arrest them instead of creating chaos at the workspace.
  • Pakistani General Sameer kuch zyada hi young or sexy nahi le lia, Fawad ki tarah ??

Inspired by Daily News Stories :

I salute the writer because to pick an idea or incident from a newspaper and making it into a complete story, the journey from idea to story is like

It is easy to get an idea from a newspaper and collect them but turning it into a spy thriller like this one is really a hard task which they did it brilliantly. It's really hard to do it with such prominently & humorously. I mean to stir humor in a spy thriller with such ease is an applaudable work.

I really got inspired by these two and always have many hopes from them. I somehow found some lack of layering the Characters other than leads and can be written with more scrupulously.
At one point I observe they were having a conversation, I felt like lacking of dialogues due to which the whole scene looks hollow & meaningless.
They left some conversation unfinished & looks like they create humor and got success in connecting with us but fails to complete that humor just like having some rough edges of a beautiful sculpture.

BAS, ITNI HI SIKAYAT HAI !!

CAST :

Manoj Bajpai

I don't think they could have found anybody better than Manoj itself. I just can't describe his talent with words. He's a phenomenal actor & we all know his potential. This series can't be done without him. He's brilliant in the whole series from start to end didn't lose the grip & entertain us with his awesome & mesmerizing acting.

Sharib Hashmi

He is also a great actor & performed really well. If you don't know him, go watch Filmistaan  he exhibits his talent & carries the whole film on his shoulder as a lead.

Neeraj Madhav

It's a shame for me that I didn't watch any of his previous work. He's is really good as Moosa as Manoj as Srikant seriously !!
As a terrorist, He's raw, brutal & wicked. Eagerly looking forward more from him.

Priyamani as Sri's wife & both the children play their part very well & honestly. Even the whole cast of this series which surrounds the lead was good. I didn't find any leak in terms of acting or casting. Gul Panag as Saloni, Darshan Kumaar as Sameer, Mir Sarwar as Faizan, Dinesh Nair as Asif, Ajay Jadhav as Shinde and many more were outstanding.

After all, they left us with so many questions unanswered.
So that we've to wait for season two.

Is this the best spy thriller ever made??
I would say, It is good & fun watching but not the best I think. The best is yet to come that's why I'm looking forward to season two. I mean Sacred Games & Mirzapur
raises the bar so high that you can't declare anything nowadays as best.

Aur Bald Of Blood  bhi aa raha hai Netflix ka spy thriller. let's see ..
