Aquaman Review

A Superhero movie with a lot of flaws. Can pull it better ..

I actually like the trailer of Aquaman, especially that extended one. It really excites me and after watching the movie, I found the concept is good but lack of details and a lot of flaws in this underwater DC Universe having tremendous visuals & VFX work.

The storyline could be more engaging, exciting and unpredictable. They can make a lot of things from this storyline, if want to explore more & can extend it like Marvel's MCU, created a DC universe underwater this time and spend in the Character's more than just an introduction instead.

Arthur is a son of surface and water. Curry and Atlanta, the queen of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. He was, who is supposed to be the king have the power to communicate with sea creatures. The plot is so dense that it submerged a hero with many villains in one film, without noticing anyone. Another queen of Atlantis, Mera calls him to save the world (and become a king) from Orm's attack (his half brother).

It's a fight between water and surface. The punishment for polluting the ocean, they plan to attack the surface for that - logline is itself is really exciting and makes us furious about the plot and the film.

To become a king and stop this, he requires a powerful weapon so he went on the journey in search of Trident.

Arthur introduces as a bulky man with old-school action where hero got punched by Villian, candidly smiles (deadly wild guitar pulls down in background scores) & punches back very hard that he got wings to fly.

They try to do comedy like Deadpool (Without breaking the fourth wall) but failed.

& In every relaxing moment, they got attacked by Orm's man which after some time becomes much predictable.

Music just didn't work. In any situation, it fails. Showing his Heroism Or whenever he makes any smart move, action or something - they try to surround with some badass music to make it look cool which isn't (music and its timing are not good at all).
Avenger's music has much more impact than this one. Coming late or not engaging enough with the scenes, Inserted only to show his heroic moves.

Kingdom of the Trench -

There's a scene when they got attacked by a bunch of aquatic monsters & while fighting, they jumped into the ocean carrying a light stick - that scene was fabulously shot.
The VFX work in the film was commendable. This one and also some fighting scenes and the climax was shot piquantly.

They want to create a vast underwater war but end up into a mess, a lot of things happening simultaneously.

The only other thing which is impressive is the creativity and imagination of James Wan. After Directing - Saw, The Conjuring, Annabella, Insidious, such as horror movies, designing an imaginative underwater universe for a superhero film. Incredibly Genius !!
Required installing sea horses, animals and big palaces and kingdoms and fights in all between. And that Red Helmet Alein type monster was marvelous and impressive. Hats off for his thoughts and all the process required even though the story or characters were not that powerful that of the imaginative world have created with great VFX work, were worth watching.

They tried to make something good but could have done a bit more work in the plot, made more unpredictable models have invested more in developing character and explore it so that we can also connect with them and understand their world.
Because I like the concept and my expectations have gone high through the trailer but little disappointed.
